Kansas Wildlife and Parks K9 sniffs out evidence on Scott County disturbance, shots-fired call

The incident occurred on the night of the call from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 14, where multiple people were involved in an altercation that led to multiple shots fired. K9 was deployed to search for evidence at the scene and located multiple spent. The department also located several spent.25 caliber acp casings and two.25 caliber bullets.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks shared photos of a four-legged officer in action to sniff out evidence on a recent case in Scott County.
The KDWP said on the Oct. 14 call, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office requested K9 Riggs to search for evidence at the scene where a disturbance “involving multiple people” led to shots fired.
During the altercation, the department said someone threw a set of keys and discharged a pistole “multiple times.”
“K9 Riggs was deployed and located multiple spent .25 caliber acp casings and two .25 caliber acp bullets,” Kansas Wildlife & Parks - Game Wardens shared on its Facebook page. “K9 Riggs also located the set of keys in a milo field nearby.”
