WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - A weak cold front will sweep across Kansas today. However, we are only expecting a few clouds, winds switching to the north, and temperatures dipping a degree or two compared to Tuesday.
Warmer weather prevails tomorrow into the weekend as highs in the middle 70s climb into the lower 80s by Friday and/or Saturday. Another weak cold front will sweep across the state on Saturday night. While no rain is anticipated with its passage, temps will trend down a tad on Sunday.
As warmer air quickly comes back to Kansas on Sunday afternoon and night, a few rain showers are possible, mainly east of a Salina to El Dorado line. However, nothing heavy nor severe is expected.
Looking ahead… a more pronounced weather pattern change is possible next week. Forecast models are suggesting a slow-moving storm system impacting all of Kansas with beneficial rainfall. While the exact details are uncertain, the best bet to get wet takes place Tuesday night through Thursday morning.
