Motorcycle rider killed in west Wichita collision

Sage Duran was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle at high speed eastbound on Central from Ridge Road and the pickup had the green light when it was hit by the motorcycle. The driver of the pickup, a 26-year old Wichita man, was not hurt. A 22-yearold female passenger also escaped injury.

A Wichita man was killed early Saturday when his motorcycle collided with a pickup at a west side intersection.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said 29-year-old Sage Duran was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle at high speed eastbound on Central from Ridge Road. A northbound pickup was entering Central on a ramp from I-235 and had the green light when it was hit by the motorcycle. The bike then continued east and hit the curb, a street sign and a telephone pole before coming to rest in the roadway. The crash was reported shortly before 2 a.m.
The driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old Wichita man, was not hurt. A 22-year-old female passenger also escaped injury.
