Motorcycle rider killed in west Wichita collision

The driver of the pickup, a 26-year old Wichita man, was not hurt. A 22-yearold female passenger also escaped injury.

A Wichita man was killed early Saturday when his motorcycle collided with a pickup at a west side intersection.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said 29-year-old Sage Duran was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle at high speed eastbound on Central from Ridge Road. A northbound pickup was entering Central on a ramp from I-235 and had the green light when it was hit by the motorcycle. The bike then continued east and hit the curb, a street sign and a telephone pole before coming to rest in the roadway. The crash was reported shortly before 2 a.m.

The driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old Wichita man, was not hurt. A 22-year-old female passenger also escaped injury.
